Terms of Service
Last updated September 6, 2026
These terms cover your use of BarnTack. They are written to be read rather than skimmed past — if something here does not work for your barn, write to us and say so.
The agreement
BarnTack is operated by New Current LLC(“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms on behalf of yourself and the barn you represent, and you confirm you are authorised to do so.
What the service is
BarnTack is software for running a riding-lesson program: schedules, riders and horses, lesson credits, release forms, and a record of payments a barn has recorded. It is a record-keeping tool. It is not an accounting system, a payment processor, or a substitute for professional advice, and it does not take custody of anyone’s money.
Accounts
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, including keeping your password to yourself.
- Account owners decide who else can sign in and what those people may see and do.
- Tell us promptly if you believe an account has been used without permission.
Your data stays yours
Everything your barn enters — people, horses, lessons, credits, files — remains yours. You grant us only the permission needed to host, back up, and display it so the service works, and to support you when you ask. We do not sell it, and we do not use it to train models.
You are responsible for having the right to enter information about other people, including the riders and parents in your barn, and for telling them how it will be used. Our Privacy Policy describes what we do with it.
Acceptable use
Do not use BarnTack to:
- Break the law, or infringe someone else’s rights.
- Upload malicious code, or try to breach, probe, or overload the service.
- Access another barn’s data, or attempt to.
- Resell or white-label the service without our written agreement.
We may suspend an account that is causing harm to other users or to the service. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.
Beta
BarnTack is early software in active use by a small number of barns. Features will change, some will be removed, and defects are likely. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose — ask us for an export of your records at any time and we will put one together, including the ones the product cannot export on its own yet.
Fees
Where a paid plan applies, the price and billing period are the ones shown when you subscribe. We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before any price change affecting you. Barns using BarnTack without charge during the beta are told before that changes.
Text messages
A barn that turns texting on sends lesson reminders, schedule changes, account updates such as lesson credit balances, and occasional program announcements by text to people who signed up for them. By signing up you agree to receive those texts at the number you gave. Message frequency varies with the lesson schedule. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop at any time, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Third-party services
Connecting an outside service — Google Calendar, for instance — is your choice, and your use of it is governed by that provider’s own terms. We are not responsible for what those services do, or for their availability.
Ending it
You may stop using BarnTack and close your account at any time; ask us and we will export your data first. We may end this agreement on reasonable notice, or immediately for a serious breach of these terms. Closing an account does not by itself erase your data — ask us to delete it and we will, as the Privacy Policy describes.
Warranties and liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose or $100. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes, law, and contact
If we change these terms materially, we will update the date above and email account owners. Continuing to use BarnTack after that means you accept the change.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
